For nearly seven decades, Santa Maria Lodge #220 has been more than a club. We've been a neighbor, a resource, a gathering place, and a living piece of Warren's identity — built by working families, sustained by community, and open to anyone who wants to belong.
"This city was built by people who worked hard and watched out for each other. That's exactly who we are."
Warren is Michigan's third-largest city — a blue-collar, built-it-with-your-hands kind of place where neighborhoods mean something and community isn't a buzzword. It's where Italian immigrants settled, started businesses, raised families, and put down roots deep enough to last generations.
Santa Maria Lodge #220 was founded in 1957 by and for that community. We've never left. While other clubs have closed their doors, we've invested in ours — renovating facilities, launching new programs, and finding new ways to show up for the city that built us.
We're a 501(c)(8) fraternal beneficiary society, affiliated with the Order Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA) — and every program we run, every event we host, every dollar we raise stays connected to the people and neighborhoods around Bunert Road.
The Pat Daniels Veteran of the Year Award recognizes exceptional military service and civic dedication in the Warren area. An annual ceremony honoring those who gave — and continue to give.
Free monthly workshops teaching Warren residents how to use AI tools for real, everyday tasks — taxes, healthcare, email safety, and more. No tech experience required. Taught in plain language.
Handcrafted Detroit-style pizza made by Mike Cali — a craft built since 1975 using the finest local Italian ingredients. Every slice directly funds lodge renovations and community programs.
From scout backyard cleanups to food pantry support, we show up where Warren needs us. Members and non-members alike are welcome to volunteer at lodge-organized community service events.
Christmas parties, Easter gatherings, Columbus Day, and more — open to all. Cultural events that keep Italian-American traditions alive in Macomb County and bring people together year-round.
An 85-guest hall with a full commercial kitchen, dance floor, and sound system — available to Warren families and organizations for birthdays, weddings, graduations, and community events.
Every dollar raised at Santa Maria Lodge has a purpose. Our ten designated community funds direct resources where Warren needs them most — from youth sports to senior support, from veterans to scholarship.

Confidential assistance for lodge members facing unexpected hardship. A donation box is always at the bar.
The men and women who served this country deserve more than a holiday. They deserve a community that shows up — year after year, not just in November.
At Santa Maria Lodge #220, we established the Pat Daniels Veteran of the Year Award to recognize someone in the Warren area who continues to serve through volunteerism and civic commitment long after their military service ended.
Our 2025 honoree, Gil Claunch, co-manages the food pantry at Chapter 154 Vietnam Veterans of America in Clinton Township, coordinates the Operation Christmas Project, and participates in the annual POW/MIA Vigil — among many other contributions. That is exactly who this award is for.

"Community is not a program.
It's a promise you keep
showing up to honor."
In October 2025, a group of local scouts volunteered their time to clean up and beautify the Santa Maria Lodge backyard — a small moment that reflects exactly what this club has always been about: people looking out for each other, no matter the generation.
Membership is open to everyone — no Italian heritage required, no complicated process. Show up, meet people, and be part of a 67-year legacy of community in Warren.
